"Happiness is not a gift, it is a choice!" -- Ariel Hernandez

Hi everyone! I'm Ari, an Argentine photographer based in Australia. I have a deep passion for capturing the world through my lens, using photography as a way to explore cultures, stories, and the human experience. My primary focus is documentary photography, particularly on projects related to vocation, education, human relationships, and climate change.

In 2019, Australia faced one of its most devastating bushfire seasons, with nearly 60 million acres of land burned—much of it bushland, forests, and national parks that were home to the country’s unique wildlife. On top of that, an estimated three billion animals—including mammals, reptiles, birds, and frogs—were either killed or displaced.

This catastrophe deeply affected me. Living in Australia, I experienced firsthand the impact of climate change and realized I couldn’t just stand by. It was a turning point that made me question: How did we get here? What has been happening in the last few decades that led to this crisis?

Since then, I have dedicated a significant part of my time to researching climate change and environmental issues, incorporating these themes into my photography to help raise awareness and spark conversations.

I truly believe that visual storytelling has the power to inform, inspire, and drive change. If you share an interest in these topics or simply enjoy meaningful conversations, feel free to reach out! I'm always happy to connect—whether it's for a discussion, a collaboration, or just grabbing a coffee (or a beer!).

This is my small contribution—my grain of sand—to making the world a better place. I hope my work resonates with you in some way.

Thank you for stopping by!

Cheers, Ari
